The Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas invites individuals and organizations to nominate projects, groups or individuals for the 2010 Arkansas Preservation Awards. Awarded annually, the Arkansas Preservation Awards highlight outstanding achievement in historic preservation by honoring projects, programs and exemplary practices that foster historic preservation across the state.

The Historic Preservation Alliance requests your help in identifying endangered historic places that reflect our Arkansas Heritage for the 2010 Most Endangered Places List.
The Arkansas’s Most Endangered Historic Places list highlights threats facing historically and architecturally significant properties throughout the state. The Alliance is soliciting nominations from residents and organizations across Arkansas of endangered places to be considered for inclusion in the list. The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, April 16, 2010. Click here to download a nomination form or to submit a nomination online.
The FY 2010 budget bill that includes appropriations for the Department of the Interior was signed into law by the President on October 30; the bill includes $4.6 million for Preserve America Grants administered by the National Park Service.

The Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas, along with the Quapaw Quarter Association, will hold a reception for the 2009 Arkansas legislators on January 21, 2009. The reception will be held at Curran Hall from 5-7pm.
